H&M Barcelona

I haven’t always been a fan of H&M and even now I don’t know if that’s the appropriate term to describe my relationship with them.  On one hand they produce everyday apparel needs and stylish goods at an affordable price that sometimes deliver in the clutch.  Yet, on the other hand, the goods are mass produced, are of marginal quality and the service and store appearance sucks.  However, it does seem that they’re aware of this and in Barcelona at least, they’ve taken a big step towards elevating the shopping experience by hiring Estudio Mariscal to design everything in the new store right down to the shopping bags.I love it!  From the mix of classic and modern architecture, to the lighting and pieces of art, it’s all very beautiful, sexy and very Spanish.  Hopefully they’ll eventually do similar projects here.  After all, we have two very bland H&M’s a mile-and-a-half apart.
